Giving

Giving is our response to God’s amazing genrosity to us - which we see in his grace, love and forgiveness. Giving should be voluntary and cheerful: St Paul says,‘Let each one give as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves a giver whose heart is in his giving.’ (2 Corinthians 9:7).

At St Michael’s, we want to serve God by serving our local community and we do this through many projects and activities, as well as helping one another to encounter the love of God in Jesus Christ.

You can give financially - either on a regular basis or as a one off donation. No contribution is too small - have a look at the story of the Widow's Mite found in Mark's Gospel.

HOW CAN I GIVE THROUGH SERVING?
There are many ways in which we can give of our time and God-given talents. Here are a few:
Reading the Bible passages in a Sunday service, leading the Intercessions (prayers), singing in the Choir, welcoming people as they come into church, being part of the refreshments team, helping with our Children's Ministry (subject to satisfactory DBS & Safeguarding checks), helping to keep our church garden tidy and flourishing, and many many more!
